Crystal Kern
Crystal grew up on a picturesque farm in Kentucky and currently resides on a quaint farm in Logan County. She brings with her more than twenty years of extensive experience in finance, accounting, and management across various sectors. Crystal graduated magna cum laude from McKendree College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major focus in Accounting. Furthering her education, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
In addition, Crystal has twenty years of experience in the small business and non-profit arena, where she has served in various key roles such as CFO, Controller, and financial and HR consultant for a diverse range of organizations throughout central Illinois. Her passion lies in ensuring that organizations operate smoothly and efficiently from both a financial and operational perspective, allowing them to achieve their goals and make a positive impact in their communities.
Christine Becker
Christine grew up on a family-run commercial orchard located in northern Illinois, which specialized in the production of a diverse and bountiful array of fruits and vegetables, including apples, raspberries, pumpkins, and ornamental gourds. Currently, she resides in the tranquil and serene rural landscapes of Shelby County, where she enjoys both the calmness and peaceful surroundings that nature provides.
After completing her studies, she graduated from Augustana College with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration, equipping her with a strong and comprehensive foundation in key financial practices and principles. Christine has since amassed considerable and valuable experience in the fields of commercial credit analysis, agricultural lending, and administrative bookkeeping, showcasing her remarkable versatility and deep expertise in these important areas.
